* This guitar was given to Brian by Gretsch in late 2000.

* When he received it, the guitar was painted flat black.

* The pinstriping was done by friend and artist extraordinaire, Itchy Otis of Long Island, New York.

* The first time Brian used "Pinstripe" was on May 5, 2001 in New York City at a private charity function. (The photos of the guitar shown above on the ugly blue couch were taken that day)

* Brian has brought this battle-worn Hot Rod Custom on every tour since the 2001 "Setzer 68 Comeback Special" Tour. It is normally featured in the Trio set during the Brian Setzer Orchestra shows.

* As evidenced above, much of the pinstriping has been worn off the back of the neck of the guitar. Also, the back is seriously scratched up thanks to belt buckle wear.

* As shown above, "Pinstripe" was featured on the cover of the October 2001 issue of Guitar Player Magazine.
